
Schedule:
Friday will be filled with WORKSHOPS beginning
at 8am and will continue Saturday morning. The HORSEDRAWN AUCTION will
begin Saturday morning.
Workshops:
Concentrating on areas of food production and
draft-horse farming, the workshops will feature guest speakers that are experts
in fields of healthy cooking and baking using natural products, green-cleaning, various food canning techniques, and draft-horse
farming.
Auction:
The Horsedrawn Auction will focus on farming
implements for draft horses. These items will include plows, discs, mowers, hayrakes, wagons, buggies,
cultivators, harnesses, miscellaneous tack, antiques, farm Collectables, and
MUCH MORE. Deals will be made and hearts may be broken.
And just like any auction, it is sure to include treasure (one man’s junk)
and junk (one man’s treasure).
Price
Although there is no entrance fee for this event, the following classes require a $25 registration: Green cleaners for the home, canning on the farm, and old time biscuit making.The auction, other classes, and the ability to network with homesteaders and farmers from across the region will be completely free.
